Northwood’ is one of Vails most exclusive properties with an unmatched location. Situated at the base of Golden Peak on the east side of Vail Village with ski/in ski/out access to the Riva Bahn Express. Northwoods enjoys a hot tub, sauna, steam room, seasonal pool, and exercise room.

Our property lies at the banks of Gore Creek and looks out at Vail’s Golden Peak Mountain Base area. Ford Park and the Betty Ford Botanical Garden are across the bridge right in our backyard. In front of our resort, all of Vail Village awaits. Our Vail hotel also features a convenient location amidst golf courses, bike trails, hiking trails, chairlifts and all that the area can offer. The house was so wonderful and exactly as described. It was very close to Golden Peak and an easy walk to ski to the Riva Bahn in the morning. They also recommended a fantastic massage therapist to come to the house. We had a wonderful visit and would come back to the house again!

The property was in a great location and the host is very helpful and responsive. The property was nice and in a great location, but could use some upgrades to appliances and plumbing. Oven was nearly impossible to operate, for example, and drain didn’t work in shower/bath in master suite. Also, be aware that if you’re looking for TRUE ski in/ski out, this isn’t quite it — you can ski almost BACK to the apartment, but skiing out requires carrying your gear on about a 5 minute slightly uphill walk. Not a big deal, and the location is excellent — but just in case you have kids and are looking to ski right onto the slopes, this isn’t quite that. But overall, this is an excellent rental.

We spent 30 nights with our family. Kids ages are 4 & 2. House manager was phenomenal and very attentive to operational questions. Location was perfect for our needs - close to the action but separated from the hustle and noise of town - very walkable and incredibly close to the park, which was awesome for the kids. The development amenities are top notch - pool, hot tub, gym, etc.
